This is an excellent winter rebuild learning project. Look at the bladder, you will see this every 10,000 miles or less if you are an aggressive rider. After 6 or 7 rebuilds my suspension guy told me the shock was worn out, I needed a Penske. Looking back I wish I had acted sooner. The Showa is the proverbial 'just get it out the door' part. I have had my 96 S1 with 107,000 miles since 97. 100,000 of those miles are mine. like comparing a kehein to a mikuni... |
