Does the rear brembo brake caliper conversion significantly improve the rear stopping power? Currently have stock rotor and ebc hh pads and don't slow the bike down as well as I would like. |

"Currently have stock rotor and ebc hh pads". I have this setup and have plenty of power and control. I can easy lock the rear if I hit it hard. Try cleaning you rotor and pads using a mid grade emery paper. The surface of pads can "glaze" causing a bad contact. No idea on the Brembo setup except that is very expensive. |

Does it have to be wet sanded? It's only around $300 for the full conversion which i think is a better deal and more needed than the ztl2 setup. (Message edited by advoutlander on December 13, 2015) |

Sorry I am not familiar with the ZTL-2 setup for the rear brake. How would that work. |

No sorry what I ment was I felt it would be a more cost effective and useful to do the rear brembo conversion than the ztl2 on the front, seeing that the front is already good. American sportsbike sell the full conversion for a good price. |

I did the conversion on my Firebolt. My reason at the time was to hide the caliper for a cleaner look. It improved the power of the braking but that just led to an easier lock-up. As time went on I adapted my use of it (it doesn't modulate well) and am happy with it. I have thought of transfering the setup to my Uly XT. With the added weight in the rear it would probably be a better fit. But I don't think it would be a significant enough improvement to warrant the work (and longer brake line) or in your case the expense. |

Did the conversion to on my 12s lightning Made the bracket myself and got a used brembo caliper. Also used a front brakeline from a 1125 or firebolt to route it under the swingarm. Can't say it improved braking but it looks nice and was fun making it! |

I have found that the stock rear set up with Lyndal pads works the best when compared with Buell and EBC pads. YMMV |
