I remember freaking out friends shooting at clays when I'd hit the "pigeon" on the 3rd shot just before it grounded. Gotta have a smooth action... |

My response to the last Obama address (posted on 1911 forum. Those guys get a bit political):
quote:The gist of it: Technically an assault weapon would be any weapon that was used in the commission of an assault. For instance: Definitely needs kept out of the wrong hands.

I remember Vietnam and how America was outsmarted by uneducated ordinary peasants. Nothing has changed. |

If you think somebody is enough of a threat that they shouldn't fly commercial or be allowed to own a firearm, don't you owe it to them and the country to investigate and either get them locked up (for illegal acts) or free to travel and enjoy their other rights? What kind of crazy bureaucratic purgatory are we proposing here? |

The most dangerous slippery slope here is the no-fly list is notoriously random and inaccurate. What are the criteria for being put on the no-fly list? Who makes this decision? How do you appeal this decision? To Whom do you make the appeal? The worst is: How do you KNOW if you are on this damned list??? Taking a flight isn't a constitutional right. It's easy to put anyone they want on a list that says they can or can't fly. Now glue revocation of rights to this? No due process. No transparency. No "click to undo mistake" option here. |

Alfau, is it your contention that the USA makes and exports more weapons than China? Sure, we make and export weapons. So do they. And others. You, who lives in a country with ZERO immigration. Casting aspersions. Get on with your bad self. |

Alfau, I grew up with guns and shooting as a discipline. For most of us it's part of life and growing up. You know, shooting, hunting, fishing, riding bikes, not TV, X box, and social media. If that's directed towards me and the kid you know where you can stick it. Field activities were once essential skills. While that's no longer the case it's a challenge and gets kids to respect nature and pay attention to their surroundings. Many of us grew up with guns in our lives and we grow up to respect them, not become killer people. It's the people that fear and loathe guns, and see them only as a destructive tool that are the problem. They happen to be the very people that would love to take them away. In short, up yours, buddy.

Alfau, can you be more specific? Do you think that a child who is never exposed to tools like guns is less likely to be inclined to murder innocent people than a child who is exposed to guns? Or are you simply asserting that somebody who is a murdering sociopath is likely to be able to do so more effectively if they are trained to use guns? All I can say is "wow". Try to come and take MY GUNS. There's a huge reason the founding fathers gave us the 2nd amendment. They were dealing with a military separation and left us the tools to do it again if necessary. |

I'll be upgrading to NRA endowment member this year. Sounds like we need all the help we can get. The liberal disease is really trying to spread its poison lately. |

Rick, cute kid. Glad to see Dad's teaching him. I remind you all the NRA started teaching marksmanship and gun safety in Black Churches right after the American Civil War. The Democrat party has never forgiven it for helping the freed slaves defend themselves against the action arm of the Democrat Party, the KKK. It's so annoying to be shot at when you come whooping and hollering up to a families house with whips, burning torches, whiskey and some rope, just looking for a fun olde Lynching! But don't pick on Alfau too much. Just imagine your attitude on Australians if the only thing you'd ever seen was "Quigley Down Under". I suspect he saw "Birth Of A Nation" when young, and nothing but NBC or CNN since. |

There's no shortage of Australians, Europeans, and Canadians that trash the US because we defend our rights. They remind me of these guys: "If you teach your kids to shoot you're gonna have a bad time." |

I told the wife that I was buying this next: To which she half nodded. I told her this was a cheaper alternative consideration: To which she scrunchied up her top lip in disgust. At least she has good taste. One year she says. That's fair, I guess. |

Just "pulled the trigger" on an MP Shield 9. Looked at a few 9mm and several .380s but the Shield won out. It just "felt right", we'll see how it shoots in a week or so. Me and my fat friend are overdue for artillery therapy. Last Summer I took him to a shoot with Automatics - we shot .50cal, .45cal, .30cal and 12Ga autos. True Fun® Z |

http://fredoneverything.org/allahu-akbar-the-view- from-2018/ Desperate to find some common thread, scholars looked to historical events. For example, on November 12, 2015, at a school for retarded adults in San Bernardino, Syed Rezwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik shot dead 14 people. They too had shouted the mysterious “Allahu AK-BAR.” Then-President B. Hussein Obama was as puzzled as anyone else by this massacre. He said ,“It is possible that this is terrorist-related, but we don’t know; it is also possible this was workplace-related,” adding, “we don’t know why they did it.” But there were clues. Rachel Maddow summed it up thusly, “What do all of these shooters have in common? Guns. Whenever someone is shot, a gun is involved. It’s a hundred percent.” It was inarguable. I'm not sure this is a parody. |

I remember Vietnam and how America was outsmarted by uneducated ordinary peasants. Nonsense. No one was outsmarted as you proclaim. We fought that war with two hands tied behind our back. The military was not allowed to engage the enemy where it was ( Hanoi, Laos, Cambodia), rules of engagement. Why? politicians ! They have been f***ing up the country for 200 plus years. |

I could not resist... ...the HK. I put a used VP9 on layaway. It's my favorite of the polymer framed, striker fired guns, so there's no point in pussy footing around it. I plan on buying one more mag and a couple holsters. No need for upgrades on this 'un. |
