Do they make a center stand for a Uly or has anyone made one? |

None that I am aware of; just no place to put one. Buells are already 10 lbs in a 8 lb bag. |

Could build one into the exhaust. |

I was thinking the same thing Ourdee The sketch below is what is what I'm going to try. Hopefully the saddle will distribute the load and beef up the pivot pin. Please comment if any of you have a better idea for mounting

Why not put one at each end linked together and operated with a foot lever so you can raise the bike like a race car in the pits. |

Looks feasible; how will the stand be held in the down position? |

I think there are some real physics involved with the spring. it should be in tension both when down and retracted so your location wouldn't work? maybe mounted to the rear saddle strap.. also, most CS's have a spring on each side don't they? On a Guzzi the spring is stretched when down and helps to keep it down but when rolling off the tension switches to pull the stand up after rocking past center balance point. |

Guess I'm wrong about most of that.. I looked on google (centerstand spring) most have only 1 spring and look kinda like your drawing.. http://static.twisted-throttle.net/media/catalog/p roduct/cache/1/image/28496d0a14ec004b76332fd2427e3 099/p/h/php8qN55M.jpg |

I guess you could fabricate a center stand if you were prepared to put in the time, effort and money. My only question is WHY would you want to. A center stand is very convenient for cleaning, oiling and adjusting the drive train on a chained bike but it is not an issue if you fit a auto oiling system anyway. Anything else, like tire changes, are better done on stands and a set these are real cheap these days. Center stands are VERY heavy and see no reason to lug that extra weight around for no reason. Others of course can do so if they so wish. |
