I might have dreamt this but I could swear that I saw a commercial on network t.v. this past sunday morning featuring Hero Motorcycles. It started without naming them, describing the entity as the worlds largest seller of two wheel powered vehicles. Yadda, yadda, yadda and at the end it revealed the company as Hero and that they were coming to the U.S. in 2017. It seemed surreal but I had to laugh at their gall. |

Anyone know if their affiliation with Tiger Woods is still active? Not that I really care. I personally hope they never sell a single motorcycle in this country. |

I'll pay Tiger 8 million hobo-bux to NOT pose with those Villains anymore + another million if I can just get close to Lindsey Von, for just a while...... |

That's not very fair. That's like telling a guy whose wife cheated on him that it's his fault for marrying her. |

actually I think it is more like you met your wife while she was still married to another guy. Then she gets divorced and marries you but then you are shocked when she cheats on you. |

That happens all the time. I'm constantly surprised that people are surprised. She cheated on her husband with you dude...what do you expect she'll do to you? |

Its not fair? How so? Did Hero not have other falling outs with companies (ie: Honda)? Fiercely Independent brought in a foreign company with almost half of the stock, right? |

Hybridmomentspass, Let's say it was your company and you were trying to regroup from Harley putting you under with two week's notice. What would you have done differently? What would you recommend Mr. Buell does from here on out? |

Without Hero involved, you would have NEVER seen the RX or SX. That's just the facts. So, you can knock the decision all you want, but hindsight is always 20/20. Let us know when you have the balls to give it a go and make these business decisions. |

I think that he made the best deal that he could at the time. I would have done the same thing that Erik did. You expect your partner to be operating in good faith, not planning a hostile take over. That didn't answer my question, though. |

Yes, they do. Erik also had the foresight to have researched what to do in the event that they would try and screw him over. I wish I could have seen the expression on their faces when he played the Receivership card! It was the only move he could make if he wanted to keep the company. I'm sure that the lack of communication with the dealers has to do with acting on his attorney's advice. It'll work out, it's just a real bumpy ride. |

With regards to partnering with Hero, I have no doubt that the very best choice was made amongst the long line of companies offering $25,000,000 in financing to the fragmented remnants a company Harley Davidson chose to simply shut down. I know that when I am talking to the long group of entities offering me $25m, I am *really* selective. As stated, you have to play the cards you are dealt, and while the outcome of the Hero thing pretty much sucked, it got a lot further than one would have expected based on where it started. I hope there is a new generation of Buell ready to bring forward new ideas with the same vision and passion. |

The "start" with Hero was a LOT better than the "end"... This whole deal could have been smoother, but it is what it is. So the real question now is WHO won the auction? |
