I've read multiple accounts from England how police under pressure from the politicians under report violent crimes. Not even taking reports on muggings and gang violence. No body, no report, no report, no crime, no justice. How can you look for a criminal when no crime officially has taken place?
To support the failed social theories of weapon control and immigration assimilation. Like the child slavery rings.
Most of my holsters come from Desantis or Galco. Between the two there should be something. The Desantis Mad Max and Galco Summer comfort are a couple decent selections. A Galco Kingtuk is another decent choice for a hybrid style. A good, supportive belt is also a must.
I just got a nice leather Commander sized holster from Copper Creek Leather on Etsy. My wife has a Desantis Cozy Partner for her BHP 40 which is a 1911 specific holster. It'd work fine for an alloy framed gun. It's not quite supportive enough for an all steel gun. Lobo Leather is another good one, though the maker is currently in semi-retirement.
I've picked up a couple more wheel guns. One is the precision paper puncher, the other a dedicated pocket gun. 20151116_084317 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr

As to holster selection, it depends on if you want inside or outside the waistband. Since 1911's are so thin, they work well for inside the waistband, in my opinion.
I carry a 1911 (combat commander) in a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. It's an all leather inside the waistband holster. They're a little spendy and have a long wait time upon order, but they're of excellent quality and worth the wait. I have considered ordering one of their newer holster designs, the criterion, as I would like a little more forward cant (18 degrees VM2 vs 25 degrees criterion).
I would also consider Comp-Tac if you're interested in a kydex or kydex-leather hybrid. I don't have one, but have considered purchasing one of their mtac holsters, as they have adjustable cant angle and ride height.
Good choice. That's a great caliber that hasn't really taken off. Which gun?
I did a mock up of an idea I have for a 22lr PDW using a cut off section of rifle barrel. The actual barrel is up top. 20151120_095427 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr
Rick, I don't work at the ATF and I'm not a cop, but isn't that mockup with the vertical fore grip, shoulder stock, and barrel under 16" already a felony? I don't want to see anyone getting Federal time!
The "barrel" has no chamber and is not machined for the extension needed to mount it. It's literally a hacked off end of another barrel from another type of gun. The only barrel I have for that rifle is the 16.5" barrel that's over it. The 2nd photo shows the piece of barrel used for the mock up behind the stock.
Great gun. I've had a Silver Streak in .177 for some twenty odd some years. It continues to shoot damn near match accurate and still works like new as others are going down on me requiring rebuilding.
Washington, D.C., is a majority-black city, and the worst of its crime-ridden neighborhoods are overwhelmingly black. The Democratic party, which has a long and ugly history of working tirelessly to deny African-Americans the right to keep and bear arms (as well as other civil rights and, in the case of Lyndon Johnson, the quaint right not to be lynched), remains as terrified as ever of the prospect of black people’s having the same access to firearms enjoyed by the 97 percent white population of Vermont, so its members oppose Senator Paul’s bill.
