2008 1125R with EBR ECM. I have an issue with the bike shutting off when I'm coasting to a stop or I have the bike in gear at low rpm/idle. This will happen when I pull the clutch in to come to a stop either in traffic or like a stop light. It will also "bog" if I'm in gear at low rpm (about 2k to 3K) as I'm decelerating or putting along a neighborhood street. It will run all day in neutral though. I'm not getting any Check Engine Lights either to go off of. TPS percentage shows normal, IAC steps shows good, fuel pressure is good, map shows good. The bike smells like its running rich as well. Does anyone have any ideas for me to test/try before I have to take it out of state to get worked on? |

It's probably the EBR ECM and the fuel mapping. On my 1125R I had a Remus tuned ECM from EBR and it would occasionally die when matching rpms on a downshift or revving it in nuetral. Swap out the ECM to stock before you take it out of state. (Message edited by Rocketjump on November 08, 2015) |

I bought it with ecm already installed. Is there a way to test the ecm? |

I just had they same issue with my friends 2008 1125R. Try disconnecting the clutch switch and see if it stops stalling. It ended up being the clutch switch. Check the live data info on the IC and see what state the clutch is in. It should be one with the lever pulled in and zero with it not pulled in. Good luck. The clutch seems to be working correctly. There seems to be a slight (half a second) delay from going from 1 to 0. It isn't staying stuck in either 1 or 0 |

Have you tried to disconnect the clutch switch and see if you still have the issue? |

I will try that and see what it does. What will disconnecting the switch cause to happen? |

The motorcycle will explode. No not much will happen. My buddy put aftermarket clutch lever/ master cylinder on his about three months ago and have had the switch disconnected with no issue. |

While it is not an issue, having the switch disconnected alters how the bike handles deceleration, idle, and taking off from a stop. That in addition to being a safety to prevent you from starting while in gear. |

So i disconnected the clutch switch. The bike idles at the normal 1250 to 1500 rpm in neutral. When I put it in gear with clutch it the rpm jumps to 3000 rpm. Is this normal? While riding it never died on me with me stopping but i believe that is because the rpm was so high. |

This is just a shot in the dark, but check the harness connector for the side stand switch (the switch isn't there on domestic bikes, but the harness is) and see if the termination plug is in place. I'll try to pull one of mine today and see if it is a resistor or not. Edited to add I checked, it's basically just a weather plug near as I can tell. Missed the target on this one.
