I have a very rare Left Side PM caliper that is new old stock, has been in a glass display case here at American Sport Bike since we acquired American Sport Bike in 2004. I don't know much about the history of these, other than that very few were ever built. Tat (previous owner of American Sport Bike) said it was worth about a grand, but I have no idea where that number came from. It is a mirror image of the right side caliper that came on 1995-1997 Tube frame models. I suspect it was probably a Buell Racing part. Brankin or Court might know more about this caliper. It appears to be machined from billet, and is black anodized (the slight red in the picture is a photo/flash artifact, it has no red in it that I can see). It has the original Buell Pegasus on it. It has never been mounted on a bike that I'm aware of. It's not doing anything useful in a glass display case, so it's for sale. $350 seems like a reasonable price for something so rare, so I'll start the pricing there for sale here on badweb. If no takers, I'll ebay it.

Left side caliper for the elusive S2 dual disc kit. The one (only one, don't get me wrong) that the left side rotor carrier had to be modified to provide clearance for the speedo drive. I remember seeing a picture and a write up in Thunder Press - back in the days even before Battle2Win - stating how rare they were and alluding to sales of the kit being stopped shortly after they were released. If I didn't already have the complete dual disc setup off Big Red (modified speedo drive and all), I'd have been all over it. Good score Court! 1313 |

Al: Caliper arrived and I think you ....perhaps..... Are guilty of misrepresenting the caliper. You forgot to mention it was brand spanking new .... Never mounted and looked like it belongs in a jewelry shop!! Holy cow ! It's now joined some other significant BUELL braking components on display in my living room. Too cool and thank you. Court |

It sounds like it's found the right home then. It was lonely in the glass case here at American Sport Bike. thanks Court! Al |

If anyone wants the Bill of Materials and Installation Instructions for the Buell Dual Disc Kit (#Z0800.8) I can send it to you. Just PM me. The price for the kit in 1996 was $989.95 plus tax (from an Illinois dealer)for the kit on the S2 I bought from a previous owner. |
