OK, I haven't been on the board lately, nor have I been on my S2. But I'm trying to get it roadworthy and I have a problem with my turn signals that's got me stumped. When I turn the ignition on, both right side turn signals stay on continuously (not flashing). They're very bright. If I hit the left turn signal switch, the left signals flash, but they're not nearly as bright as the the right side. The right side signals stay on. Hitting the right side switch does nothing. Here's what I've done so far: --Disconnected the right side handlebar wiring, thinking maybe there's a short in there. No dice. --Disconnected the entire rear wiring harness (brake lights and turn signals). The problem is still there--right side stays on, left side flashes. --Did the wiring harness tests in the SM, everything checks out. --Double-checked the grounds, all good. What am I missing? |

Check the connector up by the battery. The one you have to unplug when you remove tail section. Mine was loose , gave me all sorts of weird problems. Cleaned it up and zip tied it together, tight, problem solved. Someone here told me, I didn't figure it out myself. |

Only way I've been able to get the right signals to turn off is to pull the canceller module. I guess that's where the problem is. |

Maybe if you hadn't given away your spare module, you wouldn't be in this situation. Thanks again for that, by the way. Also, I feel a bit of a heel, since I've not yet shipped those plates I said I would ship, like, a year ago. |

These modules are old-school. Lack of load on new modules makes them flash doubletime. Lack of load on old ones gives the steady-on. You're either losing resistance somewhere...or as you said, your module is bad. Do all four signals come on, in one way or another (flash or steady)? |

Hootowl: No worries, mate... Rat: Yes, all 4 bulbs are good. Is there any way to test the module itself? I checked with Al at American Sport Bike, they can't get the modules since they're an HD part. I see I can buy aftermarket modules from Badlands for about $60, half the price of OEM. |

I had a similar issue when I switched up the three leads to the taillight. I'd check those first. |

Thanks, Ross, they were working OK when I parked it after the roundup in Arkansas a few years back, and I really haven't ridden it since then. Don't know why it would have changed, but I will check the rear harness for shorts. I don't expect that to do any good, though, because the problem persists even wit the rear harness disconnected. |

In case the module is bad, try "Buell canceller" on ebay. 2 new parts show up, one is very cheap. |

I'll give you two options. Send me your module and I'll plug it in one of my bikes or I'll loan you the module from a bike I don't have running for you to use as a test asset. You may not need either option with the ebay item on the way but I thought I'd at least offer. |

Thanks Roger! Let me see if the eBay module fixes it. If it does, then my module was the problem. |
