Well, looks like aside from parking lot strafing (got her parked at work, better parking than my neighborhood), I'm gonna be bikeless for a month. Guess it gives me a chance to get a new helmet and jacket, and to heal up. A little shaky about riding in traffic w/no brakelight, signals, or mirrors. Right now, she's a track bike, so I'll just do illegal b-trax at work. lol... The high idle also scares me a little, don't want to blow up the engine or anything. So, I won't be doing any rides soon, but I'm gonna celebrate when I get back on. I'm thinking of Woodside-La Honda to 35 to 9, then back up 9 to 35 to 1. Now, that's a scenic route from Redwood City to SF. lol... But, that'll probably be in the middle of May. Oh, well. | ||

Scott call me - I have a loaner if you want to go with me to the Flat track race at the Cow Palace May first - I'm going to try and get in to say hi to Rich King and ask about the new motor - lol - I'll try to contact Ryan also. Cool, sounds like fun. I'm there. I'll try and give you a call tonight, if not tonight then tomorrow evening. And I'm totally down for a second on my re-inaugural ride. A third if Ryan's free. Even a fourth if Sean wants to come along. lol... Maybe make it a little longer, too, make it completely worthwhile. Nothing like a day in the hills, you know?  Ready to move on! LOL - I was thinking a yearly event, if you want a bi anual event - I'd guess the next best time might be September some time but the meeting would probably be better served - meeting in San Miguel. By then perhaps I'd have a different connection from 35 to 25 - with the difference in time used by the alternate route. Just a thought. I'm busy now just job hunting and hadn't given it much more thought. Right now I'm just making the bike whole again from the stupid wind drop - new signal waiting for - old one glitched some how and some sanding,filling, painting on the fairing - a few scratches - lol - gearing up to see the indoor short track race at the Cow Palace and see if I can ask Rich King about the new motor - and riding around as usual - don't know if I'm crashing the No Wine tour or not - those roads are old hat to me, and I already know that on a hot day they can be - let us just say - not as much fun - although the lake area is nice - mosquitoes aside - lol. Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ | ||

The goal is a centralized meeting place, at about 230 miles, which I think is close to the distance you'd be traveling. I expect to make it this year and hope you will too(see posts from last year as to why I didnt) . Sounds like its getting close to planning time, EZ? Anybody have the actual dates for Easter, Good Friday and expected Spring break school closings. Those holidays could be in conflict. | ||

Well its getting to that time of year again! Who would be interested in a group ride for all Northern California and beyound riders to meet the Southern California and beyond Blast riders? The time April 2, 3, and 4 - though it can be just the 2nd and 3rd for those pressed by time! Yes the anual San Louis Obispo - SLO Ride is on again and I hope to meet a lot of the western USA Blast riders this year! How about it folks - a chance to finally put a face to the names/nonplumes of folks you've been conversing with is yours and the rides are fun! Speak up if your interested so I can get rooms and rides arranged. Last year was great fun and a great group of rides - to there, around there, and back again! - 3 unique routes, and new additions planed for this year! Well Blastards - how about it - ready to ride? I officially have the proposed week of the SLO ride off,including Monday. However the problem that I had is Easter vacation is 3/28 thru 4/3, so I had to take the whole week off instead of a few days. Unless we get a lot of people who cant go because of Easter break, Its time to get planning. Who's In? |
