Guys I came across this mod from the blokes at T12 Tech whom specialise in RSVR Aprilia's with the same problem, do you think it would work? They divert the oil cooler return oil into the stator cavity through the centre plug:-

I got my old bike back an 09 1125 CR. It has never had the stator or rotor worked on. Thought I should do it this time. Got a new stator and had oil jet put in rotor. Does it take a special tool to put the stator on? The stator went on, had to push by hand, seemed to go well. But on maiden start up, did not go well. Started to crank just fine, but quickly went to slow cranks and bound up. What did I do wrong. Have another ordered, but not sure what went wrong to change next time putting together.

Did you use 3 stator cover bolts with heads cut off to act as a guide when putting the cover back on? I went to the hardware store and got 3 two in. bolts if you find some longer that would even better

The clearance between the cover and the end of the crank is VERY tight.

When re-installing the cover, dowels in 4-6 cover-bolt-holes will help a lot.
Make SURE you have oil or assembly lube on the end of the crank.

The Buell motor has pressurized engine oil in the crank.
The EBR fix uses that oil port and SPRAYS oil on the stator. It is a permanent fix.
