I've noticed a weird one during my last couple of fill ups: When I unlocked the gas gap it popped out with a noticeable release of pressure. That would seem to indicate that the vent valve assembly is plugged or stuck or the hose itself is plugged or pinched. I'm pretty sure the hose is OK, but I do need to check it. Anyone else ever had this on their Uly? |

So far I have the opposite problem. If I don't go at least a few miles after fill up I get gas out the vent. Should be easy to test, when it's near fill up time, pop off the air box cover and pull the hose off. If you get a blast of air when the hose comes off then it's plugged. Otherwise it's the valve. I'd be curious to know what you find. |

The hose is even easier to check than that- I can just pull off the end and blow through it. Most of the hose is nearly new as I replaced it a few months ago due to dry-rot. |

If it's replaced recently, it may have gotten kinked in the routing. |

"The hose is even easier to check than that- I can just pull off the end and blow through it." Don't do that in public. The rest should be easy if you have some extra hose. Put the hose on the valve, remove the tank cap and try to suck (simulate venting) through it. Wonder what could happen to it? |

I pulled off the air box cover this afternoon. No apparent restriction in hose or valve. I think the hose was slightly pinched between the frame and the air box over by the left rear bolt. I rerouted the hose slightly and I think that'll fix the issue. |
