I am wondering where I can find a replacement kickstand (sidestand) for my 09 XB12XT? It snapped at the bolt hole when I was bringing it home last weekend. I.m not sure if it was already cracked, or possibly I did not put it out all the way and when it leaned over it stresses and broke it. Anyways, a friend is looking at re-welding it back up for me, but I'd like to source a new replacement if I can. I also need the the small circclip retainer clip that holds the pivot bolt in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Post in the parts wanted section. I've had good luck there. |

Surdyke Harley Davidson lists the XB12XT Sidestand Assembly for $48 plus shipping. This is the complete sidestand including the bracket that attaches to the engine. P/N L0194.1AVB http://www.surdykeharley.com/ You also might try American Sport Bike. If Al doesn't have it he will be able to get one. Barry Hollister, CA |

Thanks. I'm not seeing him come up on EBay with any listings right now though. |

I had mine welded ... it was cheaper, and they did such a good job I think it's stronger than the original. All I did when I got it back from the welder is touch it up with some black rattle-can paint. You might be able to find that clip at a good hardware store? |

The bolts securing my kickstand just snapped on my 07. I've read it's not uncommon. Dropped my exhaust and am working on extracting the bolts. Welding might have been easier but not as much fun. |

If the bolts get loose and you don't notice, it can start stressing the whole assembly in ways it wasn't meant to be stressed. |

Thanks for the help and advice. I had it welded and it now looks pretty strong. |
