I'm very happy to announce that we have won AHRMA's Formula Thunder and Sound of Thunder National Championships for the 2015 season on the EBR1190RX. The IDS tuned RX is virtually stock with an HMF pipe and Ohlins shock. The bike has been on the podium in every race against some very stiff competition this year. A big thanks to Tim Blomenberg from IDS, Erik Buell and all the staff at EBR. Pat Mooney.

Makes ya wonder where Canepa would be in WSB if they had continued to race the EBR. |

I expect the same place he was when he left. The long stroke EBR / Buell V-twin cannot produce the HP needed to compete at the world level. It cannot produce the HP the IL4 and V4s are capable of producing. The electronics level the playing field as it relates to readability. I believe the EBR is a great platform for club and possibly national level competition but not at the world level. The EBRs were still way short on HP and were border line hand grenades. He had to continuously over ride in the corners to make up the HP gap. The Ducats are just hanging on with a vastly better V-Twin design from a pure HP perspective and very deep pockets (Audi) to boot. The times are a changing. |

Canepa gave me the whole Ricky Bobby vibe; If you're not first, you're wrecking... |

I saw on the U.S. roadracing page that Pat got two podiums at Barber on his new (Pegram's old) 1190RS. Zemke first, Filmore second. They are racing today too, no results up yet. |
