Heya, Looking to ride out to Mountain Home later this summer (July-ish) from Salt Lake was wondering if anyone would want to meet in Burley, ID or even Ogden, Utah. Planning to ride there spend the night and ride back, It will be my first long ride so looking to take it kinda easy and maybe do a little sight seeing. Let me know e-mail or post I'm the site most every night now. |

Hi Kimberlie! We're doing great. Just got the bike insured and on the road last week. So needless to say I've been riding lots with this nice weather around! Eva hasn't been on the back yet, as the rear pegs still have to be replaced from when Don (ahem) dumped it last Fall. But all is well, I've got new cams to spice things up and I'm happy as a clam with the extra power it's given her! Haven't had any long trips yet though. REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SPLASH AND SEEING EVERYONE THOUGH! Happy riding season, Ride on, Lo |

Hi Group! I'm glad I found you. I was forced to ride with Seattle Guzzi enthusiasts last weekend because I haven't yet found a group of Buellers to hook up with. I hope to stay informed about upcoming events & rides in our area. Thanks in advance for keeping me updated! |

Ok, so now I have another guy saying that the spring late (stock) is not used with the extra plate kit I purchased from Barrnett. Anyone know who is right? Im gonna be mad if the part is not needed. The guy at Destination should have know if it wasnt and said so..they I would have been able to put everything back together and rode the 250. Anyways, Yeah Shotgun you riding around on the XB yet? I want to take a look at the M2 Low....lol...well today looks like another good one for riding, I still have to figure out the clutch deal and get all my new parts, which have also been painted, on the bike. Still have not re-jetted the bike either, so I should do that. |

I ran around last weekend on the XB. Where was everybody else for the Oregon 250? Still not happy with the XB low end tune. Gonna borrow a laptop to check the Power Commander map this weekend, maybe download a new one for it. Frankly, and disappointedly, I'm not sure I fit the XB. My back and wrist were sore after a couple hundred miles and I was trying to stay off both of them. |

S1H - I think your new clutch kit should have come with instructions. If you have the kit I think you do then you do not use the spring plate. If in doubt, maybe check the thickness of the original clutch pack with the thickness of the Barnett. I think they omit the spring plate to slip in another friction plate. Shotgun - If you are going to put miles on it you have to lay down on it some. The first time I rode any distance was on my Pop's Ducati, and I was with an experienced Harley/BMW crew. I am still the butt of many jokes due to my inability to use a fork the first few days of the trip, serious claw hands. Then I fugured out taking the weight off my hands on the straights. A tank bag with some soft stuff in it is your best friend in this regard. Your back well get stronger too. |

I got the clutch spring plate question answered by re reading the instructions and also looking at the Barnett book. The spring plate is not needed, but now upon further examination I think I need a new outer portion of the clutch basket. When the spring plate started going, all of those little rivets that hold it together started coming off. Result looks like a groove in the outer part of the basket. This is an issue right? I mean, it is possible they could be some what sanded out, but i don't know anything about this?? I called and you cant just buy the part I am needing so you have to buy the entire outer portion of the basket, I think they said $325 for it...which sucks after just spending the 149 for the clutch and also buying all the new tank, twin tail and having them painted, plus the new riding gear I got for me and me lady....it just never ends....Roc let me borrow the clutch spring compressor so at least I didn't have to buy that also..lol. Anyways, anyone know if I need to get a new one? If I understood more how the clutch worked I maybe able to figure it out myself. |

What is SPLASH, When is it, and can anyone attend? P.S I can't believe the good weather we are having in Portland area. I typically have to wash my X1 twice a week during spring. lately only once a month (the roads are so clean from lack of rain). |

Hey shotgun. Does this mean the XB is for sale now and the M2 isnt? Roc, I dont have pics and the bike is out in mollala. I wish I had taken some, but didnt think that far ahead when I was heading out last time. you know the outer part I am talking about yeah? it has the grooves in it...well it has one more groove now, only this one goes horizontally instead of vertically like the ones that are supposed to be there. It is the thickness of one clutch plate. I could take someone elses picture of their basket and psp some arrows showing where I am talking about if you dont get it.
