Today we got to run. Not very big turnout, supposed to be double+ tomorrow. By the end of the day I got 3 runs in 12 minutes.. NO waiting. That was cool.
Those are all with mirrors and license plate. The 3 times are 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile. |

Very good Zac. I take it your bike still has stock gearing how close are you to the red line. How long is the runway and how much room do you have for a shutdown. |

Very cool. It would be very interesting to see how much speed you'd pick up by removing those items. 5 MPH? 10 MPH? |

With the lack of room for acceleration, I doubt he'd pick up too much. |

Today I was too sore, then it got too hot for leathers. Around 5pm it cooled off and the side-winds turned to a tail-wind just like yesterday so I suited up. Yesterday I was at it all day and got 8 runs, today I got three. My three runs today were 169.5, 170.9 and the last run was 167.2. Two of my 3 speed tickets had quarter mile times - 131.1/167.2 and 135.5/169.5. Today was also the day I lost my fear. I found the machine's top speed, not just mine. Tomorrow I'm going to pull the mirrors, lic. plate with its stalk and the front brake scoop. Hoping to hit 175. Z <edit> @46champ - the runway is a tad shy of 1.5 miles. So the run is 1 mile of WOT and a half mile of shutdown room. Now that I know(from talking with other riders) I can sit up and be an air-brake up to around 210-215 I have plenty of room to slow down. Tomorrow I'm going to pull the mirrors, lic. plate with its stalk and the front brake scoop. Hoping to hit 175. And adopt the Rollie Free riding stance? Seriously, this is pretty damn cool. Good luck! |

So how was the carbureted Kawasaki ZX-11, in 1990, able to achieve a top speed of 175 mph with 145 hp? More aerodynamic? |

So how was the carbureted Kawasaki ZX-11, in 1990, able to achieve a top speed of 175 mph with 145 hp? More aerodynamic? Really? Sea level perhaps, we are 5500-6000' ASL, not a lot of oxygen up here. Also they probably had more than a mile to get to speed. Last run of the meet, got my best speed - 172.4mph. Z Hey Readyxb, I'll let you know what Betty does at sea level next month. Bring on the Texas Mile. |

I've never been that fast on 2 wheels. Must be a real experience! |

Cool to see half mile speeds always wondered how an EBR would do locally. We have a half mile event here and basic bolt on 1000's (pipe & tune) trap 165-175mph in the half mile, Stock Kawi H2 also traps 175mph in a 1/2 mile also |

On my best run, 172.4 in the mile, I had a shit 1/4 at 129.4 and the half was 154.5. The H2s had mile speeds above 200. They have almost 100HP more than I. Z |

I don't understand the H2 going so fast. I owned two H1's and 1 H2. Both of my H1's were MUCH faster than my H2. In stock form it barely made 120mph. Second worse bike I ever owned. I feel fortunate it was stolen. |

That's odd, I didn't think that Germany still had a media block... Welcome to (early) 2015: https://www.ninja-h2.com/ This ain't your old H2... |

I think you are thinking of the older Kawi H2s Steve. These were the brand new supercharged Kawi H2Rs that make something like 300 hp right out of the box http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/2015-Ninja-H2R These new H2Rs accelerate faster than any bike I have ever seen. I heard, at the Mile, that the H2s were around 260HP. Then I read a few articles saying it was 300. F me..... Poor chubby rider of one refused to scootch all the way forward, so he popped the front up 4 or 5 times before his front spoilers kept him down. Still crossed the mile at 203 or something. Brutal.. |
