Older BMW R1000RS has always appealed to me. I'de have to look at the used market, & find one as advanced as possible, with the looks I'd like. Perhaps a Triumph Speed Triple, or a first year Suzuki SV650. I don't want an inline 4, I've had them & I'm tired of the buzz. The Japanese do make fine bikes, and if the Honda V4 of Sabre/Magna fame didn't have a fragile bottom end, I'd pick a V65 Sabre. |

After seeing a triumph 955i for the first time today I have to say that I really like that bike. It's a nice design and with a little work it could fit the bill as either a sportbike or a sport tourer. It's now on my list. I think the wife might really like the Daytona 600. I just have to get her through Riders Edge first. JT |

I've trawled the net for pic's of Heikki Naulapaa's Project M2 but can only find this one at ducati.com, more's the pity. The pic's published in MCN UK a couple of weeks ago showed all of the Project M2 and it looked just as radical as the 1000UL above but imo it was much nicer to look at than the UL. If you really want to blow your mind LOL you could visit Rhinoceros Gallery and click on vehicle design where you will find all sorts of cool and interesting two and four wheeled stuff. Rocket |

More design from Heikki Naulapaa, the Aprilia Ram ST3. Rocket |

Then of course there's the much less radical, in such company, rumoured redesigned Ducati 999 with revised aerodynamics that Ducati deny will be out later this year. More likely to be produced than the 1000UL or Project M2 me thinks <grin> Rocket |

rocket is that a coffee machine. I will give it up for the zx10. I went to the kawi store yesterday and look at sat on drooled at it. I tell ya this the zx10 has got to be great in the corners, they got the weight distribution down real low. but I still stand on my theme of souless computer generated designs. those pics you put up are a perfect example of this. yeah they are cool and all I guess, but they just don't make my soul stir. now the bike right above this post is cool beans. I don't know I just like curvy lines and I love to see an engine. you know , handlebars, frame engine, and wheels...lets go ridin |

Roadracing World did an extensive track comparo of the GSXR1, the CBR1, and the ZX10 in the current issue. The ZX10 put the motor on them on the straights. It only weighs 430 soaking wet, too. 161 rwhp. |

Well Bubba what isn't designed on a computer these days! I know what you mean when you say soulless wrt to Japanese rides but the truth is some do have souls. I mean real souls. They're just different from Buell souls I guess. Incidentally, I don't believe the 100UL and Project M2 Ducati's were designed on a computer. I believe they were first penned by their designers. As for the Triumph above, I would feel like I was taking a step backward if I bought an old Triumph. Mind you, that one above does look rather spiffing old boy. Recognize this race winning British machine and its infamous pilot? Rocket |

kinda dark exposure, but it looks like Sheene and an Norton from here ROcket's right, btw, darned near everything is designed, at least in part, on a computer . . . . hand renderings are rarer and rarer, and designing on a computer saves so much time and money it would be silly not to do so, if you're planning on more than prototypes . . . . |

I know some of the new jap machines have soul...the zx10 is right up my alley. and sheen on a manx....aaaahhhh the manx has been and always will be my dream. I think I like the older bikes because they are more of a challenge to ride. |

The ZX10 may be too much engine and too little bike for most riders. I wouldn't turn down a track day on that bad boy, but I wouldn't want one on the street. JT |

I wouldn't mind a TL1000 myself. Sweet ride, sounds great when kitted out, reliable, and they're now very reasonably priced. |

Hey Heikki thanks for the email, and welcome to the BadWeB. How did you find us? Perhaps your creative talents have an interest in things Buell? Any chance of a pic of the Hurricane? Thanks for dropping in and leaving the link. Nice Rocket |
