Since I haven't been able to find anyone else selling Bluetooth ECM modules I ordered the parts needed to make 10 of them and will be offering them for sale for about $60 mailed to the USA, slightly more for international shipping. For those that don't know, ECMDROID allows you to easily change settings, run tests, logs, save/load maps, and if you know what you're doing, tune from an Android device. The app is free on the google play store. These will also work with ECM Spy and maybe Tuner Pro. PM me if you would like to be put on "the list" and I will contact you when I have them ready. | ||

Just to keep everyone updated, I did not receive the voltage regulators before going on vacation. I have everything else though. I now expect to have units ready to send out the week of August 10th. | ||

For international customers it's actually better to go through eBay since they take care of the international shipping process. Pontlee77 - These will plug in and pair with your android device since the connector is the same, but I've only used them on XB and 1125 so I don't know how well the ECMDROID software works with an X1. PC software will operate the same as a cable once it's properly configured though. Buelldualsport may be the one to ask once he tries his out. | ||

Strange, I have a Lenovo tablet with 4.4.2 Android and it works fine. Where/when are you getting the message? I'm an Apple guy, but there are some cool open source apps like ECMDROID that make it worth buying a cheap android tablet. | ||

Ourdee - I just picked up an '07 XB12 and was playing around with it hooked to ECMDROID. At one point I was getting the Broken Pipe message when I tried to perform tests of the fan, tach, etc. I fixed it by disconnecting then reconnecting ECMDROID. Broken Pipe means a loss of communication. In my case it was caused by me pulling out fuses to get the headlight turned off while I was playing around. One of the fuses I pulled out was for the ECM which necessitated a re-connection. (Message edited by upaero on September 09, 2015) | ||

Could well be what I did. I knew it didn't mean exhaust. But I sure wish there was a guide specific to EcmDroid. I haven't been able to make the extra time I need to learn this. Thanks, R.D. | ||

Went to Walmart last night and got a Nextbook 8in. tablet that has BT. Tried to connect to my RS but no dice. timeout Connected the battery in my 1125 and hooked up an ECM and got it to connect. Then I checked info on the 3 ECM I have. Both race ECM have the same stats, e.g. file size, build date, even s/n and more... odd Also, dates. the OEM was loaded in 2016 and the "higher tech" race ECM were from the future at 2060. wow! Now I have to learn this thing and then it will start being a very useful tool. Odd thing I noticed, the dongle only powers up when the key is on, on the 1125R. It might also in Park, haven't checked. I powers up as soon as it gets plugged in, on the 1190, at least the red LED flashes - key off Not worried if it can't talk to the RS, I have the IDS software for her. Now I have something I can use on my Uly and 1125R. I'll be in touch soon, Dave Z | ||
