I have always tried to use the search and have lots of luck, but just wanting to make sure and seeing if anyone lately has had an issue. While out testing a new fuel map the engine light came on once again. With my ecmdroid it showed the ets 14 was high again but I noticed my temp was showing -10c. So I ran her back home and hooked up ECMspy to make sure and it was showing -10c. My first thought was that it was the wideband O2 sensor I installed. Put in the NBO2 and it was back to normal. But as I started the bike back up to do a TPS the temp gauge on ECMspy dropped back down to -20c. I let it cool down, pulled the tank and did a wiggle test-nothing. Could I have a bad ET sensor? I pulled the plugs and both were black. While I'm at it are the NGK DCPR7E's better or the DCPR8E's. The bike is a '01 X1 with race header and D&D muffler, Crane cams roller rockers. Race EEPROM from Purpony's website. Engine light for temp has always come on ever since I've owned it (2yrs). TIA |

That sounds like the culprit. You are saying minus 20 degrees, right? Was your IAT reading around 90 degrees F? |

Minus 20 deg c. The cold start enrichment was at 176, that's why the plugs were black. Inlet air temp was 32 deg c, close to 90 f. |
