I replaced my O2 sensor on my 2006 XB12X and have determined I have a short in the O2 wiring. I would like to rerout my O2 wiring directly to the ECM. due to a short in the circuit. I have the sevice manual but I can not identify the O2 pin on the ECM. Can anyone help me identify the plug layout? |

It might be a good idea to trace the wire back to the ECM. I have found places in my wire harness where two wires cross, that they have melted into each other. You might get the repair done on the o2 sensor to leave another undiagnosed problem behind. |

"I have a short in the O2 wiring". The wire is in the sub loom that runs over the rear cylinder head and shorts due to chaffing as the engine moves about. This sub loom has all the major engine control wires in it and causes no end of problems. I do not know about the 08/09 bikes but the 10 bikes have trunking to protect to loom. Try looking there first and add extra protection. |
