I was going to buy this bike for my wife today. But I had a bizarre and disturbing dream last night (wife crashed badly on this bike in the dream). Decided that it's too nice to not give an enthusiast a chance. http://appleton.craigslist.org/mcy/5143920284.html |

^^ tell me about it! But I've never been that creeped out by a stupid dream. And I don't really want to be a guy that buys it and then flips. I'd rather seen an enthusiast buy this bike. |

It's perfect! And what a deal! Thank goodness it is not close to me. Is that really a L? It looks normal. Did the L's get a different suspension as well, or was it all seat differences? |

It's a L. The suspension AND seat are shorter. Giveaway is the distance between the top of the fork lower, and the lower triple tree. If anyone's looking, I have an '01 L that I converted to standard height with an X1 front end, normal rear shock and mount, and a Pegasus seat. Maryland. Volcano gray, black frame, bare aluminum wheels, race kit, race bars, CR mirrors, PR3's with maybe 150 miles on 'em. 3k ish miles. Normally I don't hijack, but LB was posting one he didn't buy, not one he was selling, so...figured I'd toss it out there. bags, I'd like to keep for my S1W.

if anyone lives near appleton, maybe you could help me out. i am in southern indiana and am interested in the bike, but figure i am 8 or so hours away. it sounds too good to be true, so i hesitate to do 16 hours of driving, fuel, and a hotel room on a gamble. maybe someone could look at it and tell me if it is worth the trip. thanks if there is anyone out there |

Funny story....I ran into a guy at the local Sams Club today. He had a "knee scooter" (foot injury) with a Buell XB air cover mounted on the front. Of course I had to say something. It turns out to be the son of the guy with the M2. What a crazy small world!! |
