Have one. Need to find stock mount for my M2 before taking it off. If you can be patient I'll be taking this one off next week, doing a shock swap and waiting for new shock to arrive. |

Midknyte, ride everyday, live in Az going back to stock height 'cause I tend to drag boot sole through turns. You have to remind yourself to be careful w/speed bumps and dropoff with curbs etc. but no bottoming out haven't scratched bottom of shock but did grind through one muffler clamp screw while riding Charleston Rd between Tombstone & Sierra Vista. Maybe a little more preload? |

Has anyone used the M2 L mount on an X1/S3? Found one locally on Craig's List. Sorry, don't mean to hi jack the thread. |

Quick question, Did Westec have problems with the aluminum lowering mount?? I see in the link above they state it is made of steel. I have an aluminum one I plan on using on my build and just need to know, Thanks for your thoughts, Chuck. |

I have an S2-T that I would like to lower 1.5-2 inches. I measured the shock a while ago; if I remember correctly, it was approx 16.5 inches eye to eye installed. I gather there are several front shock mounts that may "push" the shock back toward the swingarm, thus lowering the rear of the bike. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks |

So. Here's what I'm learning. The west Tek mount was for the older, longer shock. I'm pretty sure that I have the newer, shorter shock (2002 with all recalls done), so essentially I already have an equivalent mount. Carry on. I'm not looking for this anymore.
