Anybody wanna buy my hot rod Ulysses? Found another Buell I'd rather have, but I will only sell this one if the one I want is still available. 2006 Ulysses. Bike makes well over 100 RWHP with the stock exhaust (should be 105-107, just haven't had a chance to dyno it again). Officially 72,xxx miles, but nearly everything has been updated/replaced/improved. -replaced stator with a low mileage unit -new MOSFET voltage regulator -new primary chain tensioner -K&N filter with open air box conversion -newly rebuilt top end (2,000 miles ago) -NRHS stage III headwork -NRHS 1250 kit -NRHS CAT3 cams, -NRHSpushrods -S&S lifters -cometic gaskets -new, relocated ECM -3 bearing rear wheel and axle -factory option highlighted rear pulley -new brake pads and resurfaced rotors -new front isolator mount -XBR small RSS -EBR turn signals -accessory low seat -recently replaced drive belt (~4,000 miles ago) -Hero Blue plastics -full set of Journey luggage that I refreshed with paint and spray-on bedliner -Tuono mirrors -3 different windshields -extra flyscreen and airbox cover that need paint. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. I have the chin spoiler but it's not installed. I don't have the Free Spirits pulley cover anymore, just the stock piece. I can get some new photos tomorrow. Asking $4300. Located in Fort Collins, CO. (Message edited by phelan on August 23, 2015) |

Also worth noting, I'm a machinist/mechanic and did all the work to this bike. Machine work, wrenching, tuning, paint, etc. Compression is 10.5:1, pistons are 10* dome pistons, 1.900" Kibblewhite Intake valves, 1.615" Ferrea exhaust valves, Screamin' Eagle Beehive springs, new oversize Intake valve seats in the heads (for strength and durability), carefully measured/set valve depths and spring heights to spec, 62cc chambers, heads decked .080" for chamber size with shorter pushrods to accommodate, heads and manifold ported, with some welding and machining to raise the ports .115", .540 lift cams with 256* duration, engine tuned with ECM spy and fan logic changed with Tuner Pro. |

Beautiful bike Ross! How's it do in the dirt? Have you tried it on the logging roads or fire roads back to camp sites? How's the crank? I love that you have factory exhaust on it, is the exhaust valve actuator still active? |

Yep, valve still active, makes 15 ft/lbs difference at 4,000 RPM. I've only ridden on a few dirt roads up in the Rockies, but I didn't have any issues. The '06 models have good cranks; the '07s have the occasional crappers. I checked the crank and the bronze pinion gear when I tore the motor down, and there was no end play in the crank at all, and the pinion looked like new; no shearing whatsoever. Overall the bike is in excellent shape. |

I forgot to mention, it also has an Energy One clutch pack, new rear wheel bearings (3), and Pazzo shorty levers. Updated pics will come tonight after I wash it. The updated pics reflect the R&R'd bags and the installed chin fairing. |

Oh, comfort kit, heated grips? How come you run the small right side scoop? I found the large scoop seemed to make the mike slower to warm in spring and late fall riding, just wondering? Wife says she wants to discuss how I'll pay for it. Sounds like I'm going to be putting my M2 up for sale again =] |

Comfort kit would have been handy, but I never got it. Same with heated grips (stock on 08-up). I did find Surdyke to have the best prices on the kit, or pieces. The RSS, for example, is $45+shipping for both pieces. I was super-broke when I bought the small RSS used for $20 shipped. I just wanted something more than the stock piece. I did find the heated grips I plan to get for my next bike though; just never got around to getting them for this bike because it's been summer weather. AME makes some awesome heated grips that are shaped almost identical to the Buell Traction Grips, and they have 6 temp zones. Oh and the fork seals and oil were replaced 2,000 miles ago by me. 7.5 weight BelRay (50/50 mix 5w and 10w). |

Just don't forget there is a very particular Buell local to me that is for sale that I want. If it sells before I sell my Uly, the Uly will come off the market. |

Fresh pictures. Clean, with the chin spoiler installed. And I'll go ahead and throw in both sets of spare body panels I have. Pictured is also the clear short windshield. I also have a factory tall shield to add, but it's at the shop at the moment. The opaque shield (sprayed in bedliner) is installed already.

Well my purchase would have to be contingent on getting my bike sold as well =] But I'm interested... it helps that you're up in the high desert like me so I'd be less likely to have fueling issues like I did when I had a Super TT. |

Yeah, it's tuned for 5500 ft . Oh, and for the sake of interest, It's only ever run on no-ethanol 91 octane gas since the rebuild, except two tank fulls from poor planning on my part. Bike runs fine on ethanol crap, but not nearly as good of gas mileage. I average about 50 MPG. (Message edited by phelan on August 24, 2015) |

It's an SCG, done up the way I would require for such a change . i'm not short enough to need an SCG, but I'm short enough that I can ride one without cramps lol. BTW, BUY MY BIKE!!! lol I will sell it for $3600 if I keep the bags, racks, and one of the airbox covers and flyscreens. (Message edited by phelan on August 25, 2015) |

I'll try and post pics of it tonight. It was an '05 SCG with about $5K in extras- all carbon bodywork, Micron, braking, free spirits, hyperpro, etc. I looked at and rode it. He wanted $3K for it. I'm pretty well in the red already, just digging out from under my wife's student loans, or I would have just borrowed the money to snatch it up. |

Here's the pics of the SCG. It's a 12, but the frame and swingarm have been stripped and cleared.
