I know this is probably a question better suited for the lightning group. However, I'll start here. I bought a Hero Blue airbox cover and I have gotten some unknown scratches in it, as well as small scratches from my leather jacket. I was wondering if anyone had tips or tricks to cleaning that up. I would think that rubbing compound would dull or cloud the surface. Just curious, because I'm getting tired of seeing them there. Thanks guys, Chris. |

Mothers plastic polish or Novus from the HD shop will do the trick. If the scratches are to bad you may need to wet sand with some high grit working your way up to 2000 before using the plastic polish. |

What Terrys1980 said. Novus 3 then Novus 2 and a finish with wax or Novus 1. But be patient. When I would haze mine with a fuel spill, I'd sit down with the aribox, clean towels, Novus, a comfortable chair, and a good movie. |

3m headlight polishing kit, at least until the final stage of polishing. |

Anyone tried DEET (mosquito repellent) polishing? I have an old airbox hanging in the garage, if nobody else has tried it, I'll experiment. |

+1 on what Torquehd said. I bought a 3M kit for my "new" car's headlights(2002 Sebring Convertible). Still had a bunch of liquid left and the abrasives are pretty hardy so I tried it on my Kick-Ash airbox. Damn near a factory shine!!! Do it! Z |
