Anyone have any input on why my front cylinder is not firing correctly?? Checked spark and it's fine, checked injectors and front injector looks a little weak but did spray. I assume that it would be enough fuel to ignite but it's not getting hot at all. I did get a fuel pump, bas sensor fault for short to ground so I thought maybe the injector shared that ground. Any ideas?? |

Well good news I cleaned the injectors and voila, problem solved back to pullin like a runaway train. Fault codes did not come back up which I thought was odd. |

Did you change the O rings on the injectors, if not, you probably should. They are over 13 years old.. |

Noted thanks. This winter I will be doing a thorough overhaul so I will add that to the list. Right now I am running stock maps on the bike and when I attempt to load the race maps it wont start and burps puffs of smoke through the intake. Any input?? This marks the first v-twin I have worked on so I am still learning the intricacies. |

Race maps want a race muffler. |

Elf, something else is odd, I've used race ECM's on S3's with stock pipes and V&H. Both worked fine and the race ECM got rid of all the coughing and farting. I wonder if it's not the incorrect map or the ECM doesn't like it due to it's original code level. When you load the race map on the ECM are you resetting the TPS? You have to in order to let it work correctly. |

Burps through the intake sounds like my S3 when my cam position sensor was misbehaving. |
