Picked up a beautiful '98 S3 today. Went to fill the gas tank and couldn't remove the gas cap. Flipped the Buell tab up, turned the key and nothing. What am I doing wrong? (Please don't call me stupid, I'm very sensitive.) |

You have to turn the tab too. You didn't mention that, hope that's all it is. (Message edited by johnod on August 15, 2015) |

But the plastic piece probably will fail at some time. Gmann's aluminum replacement is a fine piece of work, and he recently lowered the price. Do an Ebay search on "Buell gas cap" or just click the above link and check it out. |

Twin Motorcycles has a nice replacement, even machined out for the lock. 5-0dro should be able to get some in. Twins part # CAAD006. |
