This may have been posted on here before, but I'm relatively new to the site and unfamiliar with searching old posts. I have a 2009 1125CR that has the higher bars installed on it. They were installed by the previous owner, who no longer had the stock clubman bars. I would like to change them back to the original clubmans, as I like the sportier and more aggressive position. My question is: would this be an easy task to do myself or something better left to the shop to install? /i don't have much experience working on motorcycles, but I can generally do my own work on other vehicles. |

S...go here it's a post of a clubman re-install with pix...to use the search function use the "google buell 1125r forum" link at the top of the page...enter the subject (one or two words) scroll down and hit the advanced search button...you'll get many results...hope this helps! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/601874.html?1318743003 |

Looks good, man. I appreciate it. That makes me feel better about doing it myself! |

As someone who's gone from clubmans to high bars, getting the routing correct for the throttle cables is the trickiest part. There will be some trial and error to avoid binding unless luck's on your side. It's not a bad install as they go difficulty-wise. 6/10 |

x2 on the throttle routing being by far the hardest part. I actually re used both the clutch and brake cables, making the process easier (not having to bleed anything). I also used the longer throttle cables at first with the clubmans. They worked fine except for at full left lock, which they would bind slightly. And honestly, even the shorter throttle cables bound at full left lock until i removed the inner airbox and snorkel allowing more room for the cables. |
