Ive been having tons of issues with my 1125CR, so pulled the throttle bodies off and there was a sensor which i thought was like the BARO sensor which i now know if the MAP sensor, when i pulled the intake flanges out the sensor was attached but I really dont know where to put it back, i think it was kinda sitting on top of the motor?? |

thats thread relates to the BARO sensor from what i can see, the MAP sensor looks the same except has two tubes running out the bottom connecting to the intake flanges. |

Please post a picture. If it has numbers on it, post those too. The MAP and BARO does basically the same thing. There is only one on the 1125 and it is behind the airbox. |

Bit off topic, but how do you take off the lower airbox? |

Two fasteners at the front by the fill cap and the rest is separating the baseplate from the throttle body boot |

Yes, Virginia, there is a MAP sensor - that's different than the BARO sensor. Or at least this version of the manual ('09, FWIW) says so...

Ok so that one is under the throttle bodies. They are the same Bosche sensor just reading pressure in different locations. |

The ECM needs to know (1) what is ambient air pressure and (2) what the manifold pressure is so it can use the difference to calculate elevation fuel offset. |

So to answer my first question, does it just sit under the throttle bodies on the motor or is there a clip or something it meant to go into? Cheers Scott |

outside the air box, right below where the front of the seat mates with the outer cover...see pix in Sprintst post above...there is a clip to hold the sensor in the correct orientation (the open port (with green oring) should point down) |

OK Found the sensor, about 5 inches down, left side just in front of the rear intake. Can't see any mounting hardware but it isn't loose to the prod. Maybe the manifold it plugs into mounts to something.. Here's the best quick pix I could get.

thanks for taking the time to check zac, looks like it just sits under there, i was just worried about it interfering with the throttle body movement. |
