anyone one know where to find a conclusive list of the recalls that should have been done to my bike(98S1W)? Is there a list of the bikes that had them done by VIN or do you just have to look at your bike to see? Thx |

Any good HD shop will tell you what was done and what is still needed. |

I think you can also enter the VIN on the Harley-Davidson website and find the status of any recalls associated with a VIN. In general terms there are less than many folks would guess. |

There are seven: swingarm, shock eye, front isolator, neg. battery cable, fuel vent, the gas tank hold down... and I had look up the side stand switch. As Court can probably expand upon it was quite a gutsy undertaking for a young company to open these recalls in 99, all at once for almost all bikes built at that time. (They were mostly voluntary I understand) As stated I'm pretty sure any dealer can look up if they have been completed. |
