2002 X1 Lightning, aftermarket breather, Vance and Hines pipe, stock ECM. I don't have any check engine lights on. My idle is around 2,500 RPM. Any advice? |

idle screw adjustment. your supposed to do this when the motor is at running temperature which can mean hand throttle control to keep it going when the motor is cold. If this happens welcome to dizzy land. |

Gunk on throttle plate or damage to pivot shaft preventing it from closing fully. |

They buried the adjustment cable way the hell under the tank on the left hand side so you'll need to dig it out and reroute the thing to the right. |

I'd suspect some mechanical issue, cable or throttle blade etc. vacuum leaks usually equal running like crap in my experience.. |

Take the air cleaner off and verify the closure of the butterfly plate. |

Just adjusted the idle yesterday and she rode the best so far. I still need to get a new fuel fIlter. Get the head vents routed. When I stopped to get fuel I did get a couple "sounds good". Have the idle at 1050. |

Sprayed everything on the bike when it was running yesterday. Not a problem to be found, besides my headlight went out...lol |
