i realize that this post will be about a Harley but I need help. I have searched the Harley forums and have not had much luck with my issue I have a 2009 street glide that has a awful ticking noise from the engine It is most predominantly heard at RPMS higher than 2000 but lately it seems I am starting to hear it at lower RPMS as well. It's almost like at exactly 2000 it starts to get real ticky!. I have noticed it seems to be worse once I let off throttle or when I'm giving it hard gas above 2000rpm. I changed the lifters and installed adjustable push rods and new cam chain tensioners Everyone I have spoke to said it sounded like lifters but it's still ticking with new ones installed The next step I have been advised to do is chance the oil pressure relief valve as it may my allowing the lifters to collapse? Anyone have any advise? Please? |
