pursuant to my other post about why I must stay away from the local harley dealership, I checked my right turn signal and the front bulb is out. Is that a Buell specific bulb or is it easily cross-referenced as something at a generic auto-parts store like the main headlight is? |

Was some time back, but I sourced those bulbs at an AutoZone. |

10W bulbs. I use Eiko 5008 in my aftermarket signals. Never lost a bulb in my original signals in almost 100K, but the signals sagged and fell apart. Originals are Osram R10W and excellent quality but wouldn't fit in my new signals. (Message edited by xbimmer on June 21, 2015) |

Actually the bulb tests OK. Swapped it with the other side and it works. Problem still remains though: front right signal stays dark and back right is a quick flash when using the right signal. Please don't tell me it is a wiring harness problem. :^( Isn't there a turn signal relay that is easy to get to in the fuse block? Would that cause these symptoms? |

This is normal for an open circuit on the indicators. Which is either a wiring problem, sorry, or most likely a bad connection in the indicator housing itself. |

Sounds like a dirty/corroded turn signal ground. It's easy enough to trace and fix. |

There is a splice with 3 or 4 wires, in the upper part of the wiring harness, behind the flyscreen. You'll have to unbundle about 6" at the upper end of the wiring harness. That is most likely where the problem is. My front right turn signal would work intermittently. |

What Arry said. Just had the identical issue, the problem was in the splice in the harness behind the flyscreen. Front right blinker as well. Brown cable IIRC. (Message edited by pagprivat on June 22, 2015) |

With Arry and Pagprivat. That was my problem. |

problem solved...The wires going to the right turn signal were routed behind the brake and throttle cables so they were under stress. The hot side had become detached at the connector. All better now. |
