Had the distinct pleasure of using a 125 cc Grom as a training bike this past weekend. What a hoot! Manageable power band for noobs, totally flickable,, not too short, even for a person like me with A 34" inseam. I am guessing it gets a zillion mpgs and would be a hoot for riding around town.
One of my more knowledgeable students mentioned there are bags available for storage and it has become a bit of a cult bike on the left coast.

For someone who grew up on a honda trail 70 that actually used it on trails, and in the fields at the farm, i loved to see something like this out there, especially as a training bike. Obviously not something to consider as a uly replacement but as a training bike and a means for a person who just wants a super light duty something to zip around on to go grab a loaf of bread from the store, it fits the bill nicely.

Well played, honda, well played.

I saw one at a dealer. All I could think I would be good for is a pit bike.

Honda is making a killing then. The one I saw had a $3700 price tag on it....lmao. All I can say is there must be all of people with way more money then they know what to do with.

Froggy is spot on, they have a huge following, aftermarket support, get used as pit bikes at the tracks, and getting raced now.
The Rukus has become the b&s mini bike with a hefty price tag.

I know what you mean since my company moved to my side of the river I have a 9 mile suburban commute, no curves, no on ramps, school buses stopping every hose with a kid,not much fun on the Uly, been riding my XT350 when it starts, thinking of riding my Guzzi moped but I think peddling would be faster. (Steven C over on Wild Goose).
Cool little bike you have there.

The Groms are neat little bikes. They are completely impractical where I live unless you live downtown and never go anywhere else. That said, there are surprisingly still quite a few in the suburbs. I am amazed at how many people buy these little $3500 bikes and then spend $1500 - $2000 (and much more) customizing them.

Grom, cute bike, but IMO another answer to a question not asked.
But, what do I know, they seem to be selling well*; and that's what it's all about for a manufacturer...

Zac, if I get one you can ride it. It's sexier in red but that's jmho.

On a side note, I hear rod y gab are coming to noco. Not sure of the dates, but I heard from two big birds you may enjoy them. If not before, maybe we can finally meet. Heading west soon, what a summer. Happy Fourth!

I mostly ride my 2015 honda pcx 150 scooter. 105 mpg, will hit 65mph, very light and easy to ride.

We had a couple of Groms show up to our small bike ride and they had a great time.
