Yes, its 3 years later and I still have the rattle on my rear caliper : ( This year I have decided to try to address all of my rattles : ) I discovered that I'm missing the rubber bushing on the rear caliper hanger that cushions the slider pin. It probably rotted out and fell apart.
Does anyone know the part number for this or an equivalent part? I found a parts diagram, but don't see that it's a separate part. Did I describe the part well enough? If not I can find a picture.

Thanks!

If you are talking abut the rubber bit I think you are, any H-D dealer should have/can get it. Stock Sportster part, I believe. The aftermarket may also have something.

Hope this helps, Dave

If this is the rubber part that I am thinking of it is a Honda part. I will see if I can dig up the part number.
Was inexpensive as well!

Thanks for all the responses. I ordered a new bracket since I noticed that on of the hopes is out of round due to all of the vibration. Hopefully the rubber but it comes with is good. Otherwise now I know I could have just spent a couple bucks.
If I get the part number I'll certainly post.

I knew that I dug it up in my favorite 'parts book'.
Happy hunting!
