The PO reworked the wiring to the tail light on my '96 S1. The light only comes on when the rear brake is applied. It should be on whenever the key is on and become brighter whenever either brake is applied, correct? Thanks, Seth |

The bulb should have 2 filaments. One for 'running' light, comes on with ign on. The other is for the brake system. You may not have the correct bulb, or the running light filament is bad. Where I would start. Ah, typed over each other. Does the bulb have 2 'connectors' on the bottom? If so, that should be the right one. Standard 12V auto brake light bulb. Hope this helps, Dave (Message edited by Akbuell on June 08, 2015) |
