The folks who rah rah are usually the newbies who havent seen a pattern develop over a period of years. Its unfortunate that dealers are out there that dont give a shit about their customers. |

I never had problems down @ Chicago land HD down on western. Now Lake Shore just pissed me off to where I’m not going back. It makes one wonder where their head is at. In my option if the dealers don’t watch it, they are going to loose what they have. HDs not a MADE IN THE USA bike. It’s assembled in the USA. Like a KIA. “Beware the screaming chicken”! Don’t miss understand me. I lust over a ’47 Knuckle or a 80” flatie. But I ride to ride. Not to be a billboard . Case in point: I pissed off the wife when she gave me a chromed out 1200c last Christmas, and I striped off all that extra shinny stuff with logos every where. It’s striped to where No poser will want to have anything to do with me, And so be it. I don’t have any set plans to do anything but ride the X1. I hope to ride with all of you this summer, but then again if I don’t fit in. It’s nothing new. I never have fit in, but I would like to try. Hmmmmm Can I fit a 114 in that frame <

Dyna I would have it fixed there also if it would be a warranty issue otherwise work is done myself. And is far as buying my bike there I bought my last bike from them without a problem.Infact Keith and Billy helped tons with all the questions I had to do the conversion to a S1 and sent me to the right man for the job to do the subframe work on the frame.I also just bought my wife her Blast this last X-mas that she will be attending there riders edge program this May. |

Crap, I didn't mean to start WW 3 between HOG and BRAG. Just stating my opinion of the ride. As far as Ukes goes. I haven't had any problems and hopefully I won't. Sorry to hear that others have. My advice is know your warranty, know the price you want to pay, and look for the best deal. If you know it's warranty work, don't take no for an answer. It's easy to criticize when you don't know what their hearing from the factory. If ya don't like it, move on. This is America.Oh crud, it's 5:15 am! Got to go to work before my job gets sent to Mexico! |

it's difficult to find a business that SOMEONE hasn't got a beef with . . . . for something or another . . . . Lake Shore won't get any of my dollars (safety issue with teh service deptarment, remind me to tell you sometime), but Uke's and IL HD/Buell hace treated me fine in terms of parts and tires and the like . . . . also, from first hand experience, I'd send money to DaveS anytime, no matter what dealership he's at |

"I lust over a ’47 Knuckle or a 80” flatie" Make it a '42 knuck and "me too". Missed out on an old ULH right before moving here. Check with http://www.halspa.com for leads on frame guys. Just depends on what you want done. Hobans can most likely direct you to someone as well. Sometimes it's not what you ask, sometimes it's how you ask it that makes the difference. H.O.G., B.R.A.G., either way they're both just National club organizations with the same ultimate primary backers. Pedal On |

While I don't normally solicit for non-Buell/BRAG rides, this is something special I'm working on with a great group of people. Jerry Parin's Cruise for Cancer Saturday, June 12th Ride from Lambeau Field to Peshtigo and back to Lambeau. Here's the deal....Jerry is the Director of Security for the Green Bay Packers. He is also a retired GB motorcycle officer and avid Harley enthusiast. Last year Jerry was diagnosed with brain cancer. He vowed at that time that if he survived, he would do something special to help other cancer patients and their families. Everyone is glad to say that Jerry is doing well. This year will be the first annual Cruise for Cancer. While the Green Bay Packers are not an official sponsor, we are all working together to make this a special event. As a Buell rider, I'd like to see a good turnout from my fellow enthusiasts in Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. I'll be posting more info and updates as they become available. Thank you!!!! Dennis aka Lake Bueller |

I'll give him a call. I have to get some work done to the frame on the Sportster first. I was out at Sportster.org. Came across a picture of a bike with how I visualize my frame should look. Well close to what I want. I still have the 2” over, braced swingarm, and the 16x240 rear tire. edited by jon6516 on April 06, 2004 edited by jon6516 on April 06, 2004 |
