Vern is your closer bet. I am willing to help and have the stuff, but am south of Asheville NC. |

I found out that my fairly recent HP "all in one" fax/printer/copier/office bin/lawn mower/refridgerator/take over the C: drive/do all device has taken over all of the com ports. ECM Spy needs an open port to function. My technosavy slacking intellect could not get us there. Sorry Larry. That sucked. Your bike sounds quite good though. |

Does that mean you have a fix? |

Not that I know of yet. I haven't had time to play with it, but I see that the HP unit does have a USB port. I still don't know if I am smart enough to work it though. |

The bike still runs so I would think it has the same problem mine and several others had. The wires inside the tank that run to the fuel pump, run across a sharp edge of the pump's frame. It is a pull the pump fix and move the wires thing. Two main body O rings(with a wipe of vasoline), a pick up screen, a fuel filter, two banjo washers, four Phillips covered replacement wire ends, a foot or so of heat shrink, and a zip tie should do it. The book says to pull the swing arm.....no need. Jack the bike up high enough, removing the bottom shock bolt will let the swing arm hang low enough that the pump will clear. It'll kind of screw out to not bend or mash the hoses and wiring. Al's Sport Bike sent the stuff to me pronto. Easy couple of hour job. Run the bike really low on gas to start this job, It does not have an easy complete fuel drain system. Even if you suction all of the gas out a little will splash out with the pump. |

Thanks Vern, I did that the first time I heard the pump prime and continue to run. Ground was just like the video showed. That was about a year ago and no problems until today. All is good now no codes. Just ride and fix what breaks! If I were to need a pump has anyone found a replacement? Just the pump not the assembly. |
