Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone else had some experience with this problem. My 08 R began to pop out of gear as throttle is closing, 1st and5th gears affected, goes to neutral position, will not down shift unless you upshift first, then down shift, , also kept kept popping out of second down to neutral , had to forcibly hold shifter up to keep in second gear long enough to go up to third gear.

I can't speak for the 1125 specifically, but typically the problems you describe are due to worn or bent shift forks (causing the gear dogs to not engage fully, so they slip apart), or due to worn gear dogs (which engage fully but then slip apart). In all likelihood, it's the shift forks AND the gear dogs that are worn--typically one doesn't happen without the other.

The bad news is that any transmission work is going to require removing the engine from the frame. And I don't know if you can get new shift forks or gears.
