Anyone using sport touring tires on their XB12R? Mostly use mine for commuting and tired of replacing Metzeler M3s all the time. Outside of paying German prices for Chinese made Metzelers (rebranded Cheng Shin ?)and Metzeler's arrogant USA staff. I am contemplating Pirelli Angel GT or Michelin Road Pilot 4. Any thoughts? |

I have been running the Angel series for a few years on my XBs and 1125s. Grip is great in all weather, and they last twice as long as most sport tires. |

Thanks Froggy, the more I read, the more I'm ready to spoon on the Angel GT. Your recommendation confirms what others have written. I haven't purchased any thing other than Metzelers in over 20 years, but the delivery of a Chinese made Metzeler cost them a long time, multi bike customer. |

I replaced my Dragons last year with the Angel GTs front and rear on my 12r. Froggy is right; grip is great and they last. At 3500 miles they still had plenty of meat on them and still going. |

Pilot Road 4s stick well and are great in the wet if you like that sort of thing. Last well too. I might look at Battlax T30's for the summer. |

I'm running the Pilot Road 2 (They were the latest thing when I put them on). The grip is great, and the profile provides for some really neutral handling. |

I'm running the latest Bridgestone BT023 tires and am really happy with them. |

I have almost 8000 on my battle ax rear and I think I can get another 1000. I love it |

Continental Conti Motions- pretty unbeatable at under $200 for a set. Spooned them on the XB9R after installing the Spiegler Superbike Bar Kit, and I couldn't be happier. |

I love it Yes they are great tires, but how do you get that many miles out of them? I ran two sets of battle ax tires, at 5k and they were done... Handling for both Bridgestone's and Continental's was great; but for my kind of riding I've found Shinko Raven 009's to be just as good and they last up to 4500 miles longer than the Bridgestone's. My bike 06 Ulysses, riding area socal canyons, local mountains and 60% freeways. |

I don't know Teeps. Its a BT021R Sport Touring. I was told when I bought it that it has the harder compound down the middle and the softer rubber on the sides. I don't thrash it very hard. Its getting somewhat flat down the middle at this point. |
