Looking to trade my Pegasus Pro seat for a Corbin Gunfighter SOLO for '99+ Cyclones. Seat is in good condition with one small tear at the left leg; see pics.

What to I want to trade it for? A Corbin Gunfighter Solo. Why do I want to trade it? I like th slimmer look of the Corbin & never ride 2-up. |

I'd ride a Corbin first. Depending how it's made, and how you're made...you may not like it as much. I have Corbins for my S2 and LOVE them, they fit like the proverbial glove. Have one for my S1W...horrible. It's a freakin' torture device. However, EVERY pegasus seat I've ridden...I love it. If you're interested, I have a stock M2L seat...it's a little sleeker, a little lower, and if you remove the grab strap it is a passable solo look. I run a pegasus on my bike now, if you want to trade I certainly won't argue with a spare pegasus. |

Good points. Haven ridden leather bicycle saddles new out of the box, I can appreciate that a new Corbin would require some break in time. I'm hoping though that since it's going on a '99, with the wider saddle horn, it won't be as torturous as the older S1/M2 seats with the narrow saddle horn. I still have the original seat, so the other option is to open it up and restuff it. I like the profile of the original, but it's just too plush. The gel of the Pegasus is much more supportive, just bulky. |

There's gel in the Pegasus? I have both Gunfighter and Pegasus, the Peg is very squishy compared to the Corbin. The Peg seems better for in town, or canyon-ing, but for commuting, the Gunfighter is much better. The Corbin weighs like 10 times as much, not kidding, the difference is unbelievable. Corbin seems very hard, not sure if it's the seat that breaks-in, or your butt. There's shops that modify the stock pan & cover with different foam, for half of what either of these seats cost. I might get my Peg seat fixed up in that way someday. |
