Yup, they were regular bodywork with blue paint. Don't know what color it is but it is a standard automotive blue. | ||

I've seen it called both Sonic Blue and Laguna Blue, not sure why. Back during the Buell era there was Designer Black and Villain Black, both were the same thing. | ||

All I know is I've got Laguna Blue vin # 128 and couldn't be happier. Crazy good!! No problems to report to date with 1400miles on her. Well the seat sucks, but that can remedied by $ for a custom seat from Baldwin! Sure wish I could have gotten the short stack exhaust pipe and race ECM before the receivership! | ||

The chain will stretch fast. All the new ones we got( 2-RS, 1-SX, 4-RX ) were that tight. Took the DOT race tire off the back of the RS, replaced with a Metzler M-3. At 700 miles the Pirelli was already flat-spotting and the chain had almost 2 inches slack. The M-3 was awesome on my XB9R but the RS has spun it a few times already. I have exactly ZERO documentation for the RS. No FSM, Parts or Electrical. Haven't even been able to access the owners manual, it's on a CD-RW my machines won't read... Very glad I have almost 8 years working on Loretta, my trusty 1125R. Anyway, I set the chain at 1/2 - 3/4 inch slack. Z | ||

if the chain is too slack it will eat through the chain rub and contact the swing arm extremely fast. | ||

Roald - I'm @ work but I put a wind screen on mine that I purchased for my 1125CR a few years back. When I get home tonight I'll get a few pictures and info on the screen. Riding friends of mine said they thought it came with the bike, it looks good on it and works great! | ||

$10k for a new SX is a screaming good deal (IMHO). Some risk for future support, but these things always seem to work out. | ||

I have 4 tube frame Buells so "support" isn't something I'm accustomed to anyway... I suppose I should sell off 2-3 of the Tubers if I buy the SX. Just hate to sell them right now the way the market is. | ||

I think the website security certificate has expired. You may have to override some security settings on your browser. Most of the website is there including the RX/SX owner's manual. | ||

I overrode them... had to just to get as far as the blank page. It does show the top banner, and EBR logo. If I click the logo it opens a page that shows this: It works! This is the default web page for this server. The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet. | ||

An interest item - trivia if anyone can assist. I'm attempting to locate references to the Laguna Blue SXs being initially called "Indigo Blue". Besides here, A&S in CA and possibly RPM (via Hugh) in SC referred to them as Indigo Blue. Trying to find out if the name changed, maybe an early EBR dealer communication, etc. Maybe a generalized term used in a motorcycle article? Thanks DAve | ||

It was ALWAYS called Laguna Blue. Never had another name, as far as the dealers and public are concerned. Anyone calling it Indigo (dealers included) is misinformed or ignorant. | ||

Seeing as how they can't even spell "Erik" correctly, that should give you some insight into that dealership.  I'm sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine to spell correctly and advertise the product accurately that you are selling. I know it to be true that there was a release to the dealers informing them of a limited edition Laguna Blue SX model to be produced. I'm not sure if the exact number to be built was communicated to them (it was exactly 50 units), but it sure was called "Laguna Blue" in this information. From the moment the information went public from EBR, it was called Laguna Blue. It was never anything else in any literature, email or otherwise. | ||

So, it turns out that I mistakenly identified the serial number of my Laguna Blue 1190SX as #128! So to correct my misinformation mine is actually #110. My apologizes to those that this information is vital to the cause of determining the demise of every Laguna Blue produced.
