Current buyer's market says a lot less than a new 2004 model with the 2-year warranty and updated drive belt. Regional location will affect the price you pay. Shop the dealership first, the bike price second. YMMV

My guess would be $6000-$7000. I buddy of mine has been trying to sell his race kitted 9R for about 6 months with no luck. (he bought a XB12R) |

I have been watching 9s's closely. Best deal I have seen for a non wrecked one was 6k, and there has only been one motivated seller at that price. |

04's 9's are only gonna trickle in at best. they only made a couple hundred... so I see the value going up..because supply just went down and I bet demand for the shorter stroke revingness of a sportbike becomes demand. remeber a piped 9 and a piped 12 are only 10 or 11 hp different but what do I know.... |

Skiman, Up until the 31st of march you could've got a rebate from Buell for an employee purchase. Didn't your dealership tell you this? Ride to the edge! Dave |

Skiman, My son picked up a HD demo 03 XBR with 2,000 miles for $4800 last August. That seems low compared to what I've seen in the Cleveland market so we couldn't pass up the deal. Impressive bike. If I could only have that engine and suspension on my Sporty. |

yeah like I said some of buells more "illustrious" dealers...... nothing like the value of a bike being devalued . not because the bike is no good, but because the dealers around the nation suck so fucking bad. hey corprate are ya listening....... nope....thats what I thought... |

Alpine - I got mine off of Ebay from a guy in Miami. It had 17 miles on it - he never even registered it & still had the shipping skid from a shop in Ohio. I paid $7000 plus it cost me $260 to ship from Miami to my shop in Jersey. In Jersey you pay the state tax when you register the bike on the value that you say you paid for the vehicle Check out Ebay & don't be afraid of the shipping. |

I got my 04 XB12R for $8900 in Dec. 03 with 4 miles from a dealer off Ebay. The same dealer was selling XB9`s for $6200. Since then i`ve seen 3 or 4 XB12`s sell for around $8200. This was really a HD dealer, when i asked about the great prices they told me that HD gives them alot of Buells for practically no cost for selling X amount of Harleys. And since they don`t really want to carry the Buell line they just sell them as fast as they can for whatever price. My local dealer wants $12,500 for an XB12 plus tax. Very weird, but prices by me are all over map, atleast here.

Check on Ebay for dealers selling XB`s. You can either bid on the bike or call them directly and buy the bike outright. |
