Glad Geoff got the nod, it didn't seem right for him not to have a ride this year, and the folks in the Westby camp need his kind of personality right now. Wouldn't be surprised if Danny set it up... |

I heard Danny begging for a ride on pitpass radio about 3 weeks ago. I'm sure if he had any input, it would be his own butt in the seat. |

I suspect that Chuck Giacchetto is where the idea of having Geoff ride came from. The both live in GA. |

Looked like Geoff was at least considering riding in Road Atlanta before he got this ride. Guess we will see what the future brings after this weekend. It is a bummer that these two young guys who obviously have the skills and desire (Geoff and Danny) don't have a ride for this year. (Message edited by ljm on April 07, 2015) |

unverified chatter on SF Bay Area M/C site BARF includes Danny Eslick, among others, being denied a late entry at COTA that's all I "know"..... |

Is it just me, or does the MotoAmerica "Results" page not have any "results"? I caught the live timing earlier, but I'm looking for "results" from today's sessions and can't find ANY of them. So far my impression is the page needs work...unless it's just me! |

Well damn, the winner of the first Superbike race (from yesterday) popped up in my FB feed this morning. I can't say I was surprised but I knew there was no way I WASN'T going to know the outcome before next weekend's televised coverage. |

Anybody know if EBR is going to be at Road Atlanta this weekend for the MotoAmerica race? |

Max took a high speed spill in the wet on lap 6 Saturday as he was moving up from a slow start that put us at a real disadvantage for Sunday. We made it to the grid for the delayed practice and found that we could not get past 7000rpm and had to scratch from Sunday's race. plan is to be at Road Atlanta in a couple days. wish us luck! tim |

Smoke how does the EBR closure affect your parts situation. Is Max good to make it to the next round? |

Max posted on this on Facebook yesterday:
quote:Absolutely gutted today that EBR have gone bust, I really wanted to show what this all American bike could do in MotoAmerica round 2 but limited access to spares have made it impossible to race at this weekends round at Road Atlanta, but don't worry 888 will be out again at VIR........

was hoping for a fast miracle but does not look like it will happen. sponsor will not approve further expenditure at this time on EBR. looking at alternatives to get back on track. really feel bad for the EBR workforce as I have gone through a similar situation in the past. best wishes for all of them to land on their feet. tim |

CBS Sports had a "Preview of MotoAmerica" show on yesterday. Recorded it on the DVR but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Also programmed to watch the Austin races this weekend. |

Roger Hayden crashed in both his races today. Cameron Beaubier won both his races by HUGE margins, dominating the track in pissing rainstorms, with RIVERS running across the track. |

Haven't seen the telecast yet but from what I've read, this race should've been conducted on jet skis... |

The races really aren't being shown. What you get is a 60 minute feature/race highlight show. They combine track info. interviews, highlights from 3 races and and many Yamaha drone shots. Most cameras are on board go pro (which are cool, but a whole let less cool when its raining), I counted 2 actual ground level cameras. Very little actual racing. This is by no means traditional race coverage. You get to see the start, the end, a few passes, a few crashes, that's it. Boo to CBS Sports, I'm let down. |

I wish they got beIN to cover these races. Of all of the networks covering roadracing, they do it best. |

Boy, that's disappointing. They are doing in on the cheap. And i agree Bein does a great job. Not afraid of longer onboard shots, which are my favorite. I can't for the life of me figure out why more onboard footage isn't featured. COuld it be you can't see the sponsors advertising on the bikes during the onboard shots? |

well, as "race coverage" goes, the CBSSN hour fails it's much more about summaries, passes/crashes, and featurettes - viewed in that light, it's pretty good my own gripe is the "whoosh" pop-ups & close-downs endlessly cluttering the left-middle of the screen it's approximately an 8-step process that opens & closes with an unnecessary noise while displaying "CBSSports"; then the race: the class; the rider; the place; etc. tho' all relevant info does arrive onscreen, it's progressive rather than complete - little of it stays long enough to be digested before being replaced, and then disappearing pointlessly unique compared to MotoGP or most any other race broadcast "irritating" bracketing "maddening" - quite the combo! grrrrrrr...... |
