Hi All should have posted this first I guess. Have had a bunch of bikes in my life Hondas mostly. This Buell 1125r is my first, rode others Cyclone, Lightning they were decent but didn't trip my trigger enough to own one. I bought it from a guy who worked for Buell before they closed the first time, but still is working for Harley. He put a lot of the usual stuff. Didn't ride it much. I think it was tracked a lot, less than 1700 miles. It had a replacement motor put in because of metal particles in the oil, so it has a 2010 in it now. I might have paid more than I should but one test ride had me hooked. The sound of the HMF exhaust, the power is intoxicating. I'm 6'4", just turned 57 and thought I could never ride a sportbike again. The poor Dyna Wideglide going to be kinda lonely, well until the wife wants to ride. She wouldn't even think of riding on the back of the Buell. I used to have a VFR800 and she rode on it once that was it. I liked that bike a lot but didn't really have enough power. This one has plenty right now. So far I really like this bike. |

For what you saw that RS at Hal's going for, you've got a lot of potential with the 1125r to tweak it to your liking. Welcome... |

Sweet, I was hooked on my "new" 1125r that I just bought too. Crazy difficult at < 20MPH or < 4000 RPM. But just a wonderful bike. All purpose too, very comfortable. I've had it 1.5 weeks and have a good ~ 6 hundred miles on it already. The suspension tuneability is wonderful too. It can just slice the turns away, and leave almost any car at any speed like it's standing still! |

If anybody local interested, probably going over to Sportland 2 open house today. I know there are a few people on here that live in the Milwaukee area. Hope to see some Buell enthusiasts there. |

Ok new to Buell 1125r as well and I know most of you will consider this a stupid question but when you fill your tank do you stop and the opening below the filler cap or at the filler cap? |

I think I have just been filling mine just below the vertical section. I haven't looked to actually see where the overflow is at. |

Ok guys, quick tip on filling the 1125's. Stop filling it when you can see the gas. If you put too much in, it'll all end up on the ground behind you after the first ride. Look at the design of the frame/tank and you'll see that there are two sides of it that come together at the top. If you take the cap off you can see where they meet. That is where you should fill to. Have fun with the new toys guys |

Fyi once the weather gets good n hot get used to gas ⛽ coming out of the overflow and dipping on the ground. Typical of this bike...well the xb's too. The fix is to insulate the inside of the frame. You'll learn all the tricks as you go along. |

I ended up not going it started poring rain and I didn't want to drive my car there. I did ride about 130 miles Saturday. Thought about going to Sportland 2. I ended up going over to Schlossmanns BMW motorcycles. They have a pretty good selection of bikes and I've never been there before. |
