I've seen the carbon/Kevlar weave x1, carbon extreme I believe. Looked bluish when new until sun fades them. Would a UV blocking clear coat pretext against this? Second, anyone ever seen or heard of the same carbon fiber bodywork that's red instead of blue? I bought a flyscreen (with same Pegasus on it) and tank cover like this and it's REALLY neat looking! But never seen the red. Don't want to put it on if it will fade. Thanks |

If it was trans candy the carbon Pegasus would look red as well... Looks identical to the carbon fiber extreme (as I used to own a flyscreen from a totaled one) just red instead of blue. |

Ken, if you notice, the weave in the Pegasus runs opposite of the weave of the flyscreen. It definitely looks like the factory piece. Possibly candied over though with the Pegasus taped off a clear on top of that. |

I know where there is one set (airbox cover and fly screen) with part numbers and the words "master part" (and the date 1/20/99) on the flyscreen. What we have here are experimental prototypes according to a long time employee in Milwaukee (who was so close to letting me buy this other set... this weekend i may be able to get the numbers and see if its a different number then the Blue Kevlar. So like I said I will definitely take em off your hands. I would recommend clear coating with a UV protectant if you want to keep em shiny. Congrats Sean on a great find!
