After about a year of sitting on the fence, waiting to trade in my 1125r, I test rode various bikes (almost purchased an MV Agusta Dragster and really like the look of the RR) I purchased the RX.

What took so long? When the RX came out I disliked the exhaust and the lack of a quick shifter.

Then I was, unreasonablly, hoping for the Typhon to be released as the SX and didn't care for it aesthetically.

Why the change of heart? An RX for 14,995 I believe is an incredible value. I can change the exhaust and live without a quick shifter at that price... And it is made in the USA.

I've only got hundred miles on it (got it yesterday) and the more I'm on it the more I like it. It really is a great bike for the price.

Quick shifter is almost available, check AF1 racing website. Have to change to either one of the exhaust kits with updated ECM.

BEAUTIFUL. Galactic Black is a beautiful color, albeit not really black : ). The Red is my favorite though. I've been drooling over the red one we have for sale here since it came in. If I didn't have my wife's student loans to pay...

Get the $400 race ECM and the turn out tips. The quick shifter is programmed in already. Order it from dynojet, get the correct plug and wire it into the kickstand wires.

Wait, 'why yellow' you ask?

Well, black is bland. Anything looks good in black. The EBR is unique and hardly just 'anything,' it deserves a stand-out color.

Red is Ducati's color. If someone came up to me and said, "nice Ducati," I don't think I could handle it, emotionally.

So strike yellow it would be, for me......

You should see the Galactic Black outdoors in bright sun.
It is a very unique color, rumored to be difficult for the molders to get right tho.

Update: Added the exhaust tips and tail tidy. Loved the service from AF1 Racing!

I don't regret the purchase even under the circumstance. The bike is awesome. Taking it in for the first service on Saturday.

I do hope I get the lighter clutch solution. My local dealer will install it, but can't seem to locate the kit anyplace.
