NRHS EBR in Colorado just took delivery of a beautiful 2015 EBR 1190 SX. This is the first 2015 EBR to be available for sale in the US!!! |

Damn. I hate to be the party pisser but I thought all the SX models were considered 2015's. Sorry to be that guy, hope I'm wrong |

Here's what I mean. I hope I'm wrong. http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/08/29/2015-ebr-1190 sx-first-ride-naked-sportbike-motorcycle-review-ph otos-specifications/ http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/erik-buell- racing-manufacturer/2015-ebr-1190sx-first-ride-rev iew.html Never seen the SX's referred to as anything other than 2015's. But I hope I'm wrong so that you can still be happy. May have to do with the way years are considered in the industry. Midyear-to-midyear |

All I can tell you is that my sx is number 19 built and is considered 2014 |

"The model year and the actual calendar year of production rarely coincide. For example, a 2009 model year automobile is available during most of the 2009 calendar year, but is usually also available from the third quarter of 2008 because production of the 2009 model began in July and August 2008." Whatever the case may be, congratulations on the first "REAL YEAR" 2015 |

The greater question . . . in my mind . . . is WHY, after the shut down to start building 2015's last August, is this the FIRST 2015 and what have those 200+ folks been doing for the last 8 months? :-) Inquiring minds . . . . Also dying to know why all those dealers have been advertising them . . . Plenty of confusion seems to continue to circle East Troy . . . . |

Might be a single production line. Building in batches. EBR has to save where they can and they aren't selling quite hard enough to churn out bikes at max rate. |

that dealer you show above is 100% wrong Court. There has not been a 2015 1190 RX even made yet EBR has been made aware of those 2 dealers ads. (Message edited by buelliedan on March 25, 2015) |

My point . . . brilliantly illustrated . . . is that the ship is afloat with little information or apparent direction. For more fun . . do what I did . . .and call 15 dealers and ask. The perception, be it right or wrong . . is that the left hand and the right hand aren't talking so well. Toss in a bunch of consultants and contract marketing folks (not EBR employees) and you can see why even the CHARTER dealers who were promised (in their dealer contract) first shipments . . . are confused. |

I know those are SX models. My point was there are shops saying they are selling 2015 RXs which there is not even such a thing right now. Court, all dealers who have asked for red 2015 SXs are being delivered as we speak. The other colors are not available yet |

Is the difference between a 2015 red RX and a 2014 red RX is that single digit in the name and VIN...oh...and $4,000? Now I'm confused. |

The difference between 2015 RX's and 2014 RX's is that they haven't made any 2015 RX's yet because they have a huge overstock of 2014 RX's. At the moment every RX available is a 2014. The SX is the hot seller. The 2015 SX has new colors, new rear shock, and softer effort clutch lever, with the latter being good willed to all 2014 models for those that want it. Which, I might add, is totally worth it. Especially since my elbow and wrist are acting up with the weather changes over the last week or so. |

http://www.erikbuellracing.com/motorcycles/1190sx- 2/ Also, advertised on their site as 2014 SX. No mention of 2015 anywhere. Same with RX. |

Am I to take it that this new rear shock doesn't have a spring that chafes the sub frame like all our 2014's do....? |

The new rear shock is quite a bit softer than than last years. The ride is really nice. The new clutch is awesome and it will be installed on all 2014s at no charge if desired although the racers seem to want to keep the old one. |
