I've never really thought about this before, but the other day I noticed that it sounds like my bike is constantly priming once I start the engine; I can hear the whine of the fuel pump. The only reason I ask this is because there was one time that I started that bike and the whine wasn't there while the bike was running. I'm not sure if my fuel pump is shorting out or if the constant whine when the engine has started is normal or not. BTW I love the Alto Carbonite clutch! Finally got it in after figuring out how to make a compression tool and fighting with the snap ring that was too big for my circlips. |

Hearing the fuel pump is normal, if you didn't hear it, either your bike is not running or you never noticed it over the engine noise. As they get older they do make more noise. You do have an issue if the bike is sitting with the key on, kill switch on, and the engine off and the pump runs for more than a few seconds. |

Awesome, that's one less thing off my mind. |
