anyone know if there's any option out there for this? I love my cr with 1" drop pegs & the high handlebar kit. the pegs would be most important cause if I remember right when I sat on one, the bars weren't mush lower than my cr... |

The RX/SX rear sets are adjustable from the factory. If you get the fixed pegs from EBR, you have even more mounting points. I'm sure any number of fat bars and/or risers will work on the SX, pretty standard bar setup there. |

Yea, the bar placement is very much like the CR based on my test ride last summer, but the stock peg placement is noticeably higher than the CR. I also noted that the pegs are adjustable, and I'd imagine you could find a peg that could be adapted if you need even more leg room. |

Here are a couple of pics which show the adjustment holes. First is a large photo I found on the net; I've clipped the footpeg area and enlarged it:
Second is a clip of a drawing from the 1190RX/SX parts book (which can be downloaded at AF1 Racing's site):
Looks like there are 5 holes which the footpeg can be mounted to, giving a limited range of up/down, foreward/aft movement. I expect to lower them more than about 1 inch from the "standard" mounting position, you'll have to find a drop peg that will fit. |

The center hole is threaded the others are not requiring the use of fixed pegs. The EBR (Woodcraft I think) fixed pegs are AMAZING. You would think they would transfer way more vibration to your feet but they don't. The grip is much better and the lack of flex is a vast improvement! Just my opinion though. I mounted mine to the rearmost position which is also slightly higher than stock. |

I'm developing a set of support bars for Chase Harper Stealth saddle bags that can be locked under the pillion seat. All the hardware so far consisting of 1/2" electric conduit, 1/2" OD steel tubing, various clamps and assorted fasteners can be bought from Home Depot. The reason for doing this came from my friend who also has an SX. He attempted to simply throw the same type bags on his and subsequently wound up breaking the tail piece bodywork because it is so thin and not nearly as strong as what is on say, the 1125 tail piece. I'm not sure what the heck he was packing in those bags tho. No pics (of the support bars) yet tho, although the Stealth bags do look cool on the bike. |
