Loveland Colorado? Wife and I will be out there in July for the Buell confab. Staying at the JADE motel. I've never changed out a brake line but have rebuilt the master cylinder. The banjo fitting is a bolt-on to the reservoir. Just un-bolt the banjo and then bolt it back on when you changed out what you need to change or rebuild. Apparently you need to buy the service manual. It's a very good investment which gives a very good return through the years. |

I've done it, brake line is different. You need all you mentioned for it. That said, I recommend spending a little extra cash and getting an aftermarket master cylinder. The one that was in the old accessory catalog was just the stock one from an 1125R/CR, and while it works ok, aftermarket ones provide significantly better feel. That said, you likely can get a used 1125 cylinder cheap. Caliper - http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/18000 Brake line - http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/18008 1125R Master - http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/18001 Here is the upgraded master that I am running - http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/16106-19 I don't recall if it fits with the handguards in place, I'd have to check. |

Craig, I think you're misunderstanding his question. He's not asking how to work on the from brake, but rather if the brake pine can be re-used when swapping from the 6 piston ZTL caliper and stock master cylinder to the 8 piston ZTL2 caliper and larger 1125 Master Cylinder. |

I agree with Froggy- if you can find an 18-19mm bore radial master cylinder like a Brembo piece from a Ducati 999 or a ZX6R, that would be a better option. I had a Brembo radial from a 999 on my S2 and it made a HUGE difference. |
